Andrew Xu is a Managing Partner of Wavecrest Search, a boutique executive recruiting firm focused on risk management, legal, and compliance talent for financial services. His career spans senior leadership roles at some of the most renowned multi-trillion-dollar asset managers, where he directed global risk management, technology, and governance functions.

Over more than 30 years, Andrew has led large-scale infrastructure transformations, chaired enterprise risk and governance committees, and built high-performing teams across investment, legal, and compliance functions. A patent holder in multi-factor risk modeling, he brings a rare insider’s perspective as both an executive and hiring manager.

Andrew earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT and a B.A. in Computer Science from NYU. Through Wavecrest Search, he leverages this depth of experience to deliver exceptional talent solutions that align with clients’ strategic priorities.
